Blossom No.37 is part of my ongoing body of work The Blossom Series, which explores how natural imagery can be transformed into contemporary compositions through photography, digital manipulation and printmaking.
In this piece, enlarged flowers are reduced to flat shapes, allowing colour and composition to become the dominant features. White petals sit against a deep green ground, while bright green and yellow details create contrast and rhythm across the image. The work sits between representation and abstraction, using a recognisable flower as the basis for a graphic composition.
